In this day and age of Social Media the lines have become blurred between public and private. It’s easy to disclose every detail of your life. But where does one draw the line?
I must admit that I am guilty of this and am still working on not disclosing too much information because I know that I have a brand to maintain.
It’s harder for me because my brand has a lot to do with who I am personally. My readers of this blog will have noticed that I have shared a lot of personal things on this blog. Many things that people would have tried to keep secret. But my experiences have made me who I am and if a prospective employer reads my blog and decides not to employ me because of what they read. Well I really wasn’t meant to work there.
Even though I get personal I try to be as discreet as possible. And I not only write about personal stuff.
So if you don’t like what I’m writing about why are you reading this blog? I share so that others might learn from my experiences and it is therapeutic for me as a writer.
